Sunrise, sunrise

Dress: Erika, vintage,from Minx;
Necklace: American Eagle, from Marilou;
Shoes: gift, from Philippines;
Bag: H&M.

There is something absolutely invigorating about going in the early morning to take photos -- like having a good start to the day. It feels like mental exercise. The park is really empty. For the very few souls that you pass by, there's a mutual understanding that if you're up early, you're dedicated to whatever you're doing there -- be it photography, bird-watching, dog-walking -- and there's this respectful, sacred distance that's usually not as reserved in the evenings. The animals seem to notice it, too and can be coaxed out of their burrows. I actually saw an egret over by the lake -- I hope the birdwatcher I saw was able to find it.

I found this dress the other day at a vintage store called Minx downtown. I don't know why I've never really perused the store before, but it was a little dream: organized, well-edited and with reasonable prices. I found this cornflower blue dress in the sale bin for $5. I love the little floral print and the bell sleeves. This is a good-day dress.

Have a great Wednesday!
