I wish every day could have been like today -- went on a date with Jeremiah to TGIFriday's and had good conversation and food (him: wings, me: gourmet mac'n'five cheese). And then afterward, we saw the new "Alice in Wonderland." I thought it was a great version of the story --- but then again, I'm always in love with Tim Burton's vision and movies. It's hard to say which of his is my favorite, maybe "Nightmare Before Christmas"...
About this outfit. I don't know why I don't wear this dress very often. I bought it for a summer wedding a few years ago, and it's been languishing in my closet ever since. I couldn't bring myself to get rid of it because it's got such a beautiful neckline and I love the way it fits me. A year ago, I would have classified this as an "Easter Sunday" kind of dress, because it's got that kind of pattern that can be interpreted as too saccharine. I think the inspiration from the blogosphere is helping me gain confidence in what I really want to wear.
I won the pretty necklace through a giveaway from Westervin. The engaged couple behind the blog is hosting another necklace giveaway (through this Sunday) for those that help vote for them in the "Crate & Barrel Ultimate Wedding Giveaway." Read their story -- just thought I would spread some blog love here :)
Alright, lovelies, have a good weekend!
